‘More than 100 colonies will be removed from O zone’

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said on Thursday that Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Puri has assured that over 100 city colonies and villages falling under ‘O zone’ of Yamuna will be removed from the list. Mr Bidhuri said he had called Mr Puri to discuss issues related to the capital and he later reiterated the BJP-led central government’s “commitment” to Delhi. The LOP said that they thanked the Union Minister for “construction of the world’s largest eco-park on 885 acres at Badarpur”. He said that a dozen other biodiversity parks are also being set up in the capital. “I also thanked the minister for other development works like construction of flyovers at Vasant Kunj and Narela and several community centers and parks,” Mr. Bidhuri said.
