More than 60 vacancies in Allahabad High Court; Bar Association demanded immediate recruitment

Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has demanded immediate filling up of all vacant posts of Judges of Allahabad HC due to increasing pendency of cases and problem related to listing.

HCBA President Radha Kant Ojha said that a total of 67 posts are lying vacant in the Allahabad High Court as 93 judges are working against the sanctioned strength of 160.

He urged the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court to ensure reform of the entire system of listing of cases, as he claimed that at present, new cases are being listed before the court after 10 to 60 days of filing in the registry. Huh.
