MP Board Class 12 exams to begin from February 12; Syllabus reduced, pattern changed

Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has announced that the board exams for class 12 students will be conducted from February 17 to March 12, 2022. The board has already issued the admit cards and students can download them by visiting the official website of MPBSE. – mpbse.nic.in.

The board has also made some changes in the exam syllabus and pattern due to the COVID-19 circumstances. The government has cut the 12th syllabus by 30 percent. The questions will be objective, subjective and analytical.

The board has said that 30 percent of the total questions in the question paper will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Apart from this, short answer questions of 4 marks each will be asked. Students will have to write answers ranging from 120 to 150 words. Under the revised marking scheme, 80 marks for written examination and 20 marks for practical and project have been fixed by the MP Board.

MP Board has already released the dates for 10th, 12th practical examinations. Practical examinations will be conducted in schools from 12 February to 25 March 2022. However, the practical examinations for private students will be held from February 18 to March 20. Along with this, the schools have been instructed to upload the practical marks. Online exams till March 25

The board has made it clear that the marks of practical examinations will have to be uploaded online by the school authorities. Along with this, the schools have been instructed to enter the marks of the students carefully and there will be no change in the marks after the last update.

Last year, the exam was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The students were given marks according to their marks in the half yearly examination.
