Multi-device pairing on Apple Watch? This is what the report says

Apple Watch is one of the most popular health tracking devices used by users across the globe. Currently, users can pair their Apple smartwatch with only one device at a time, which is the iPhone in most cases. Now, a report says that users may soon be able to sync their Apple Watch with more than one Apple device.

According to a Twitter tipster who goes by the name of @analyst941, apple watch ‘No longer tied to a single iPhone’ and may soon support multi-device pairing. Although it could not provide a time frame for when support might begin, it does say that the Apple Watch will sync across multiple iOS / iPadOS / Mac devices. Also, the leakster didn’t reveal how Apple Will implement this multi-device support.

“The Apple Watch may also eventually sync to more than one Apple device. I have no idea how this will be implemented. Once again **all** I know is that the Apple Watch supports multiple iOS devices,” the tipster said in a tweet. /iPadOS/Mac devices and will no longer be tied to a single iPhone.

For those unaware, this is the same tipster who predicted Dynamic Island’s arrival in iPhones, so it is expected that the latest prediction may also hold some ground. Having said that it is important to note here that there is no official information regarding the upcoming multi-device pairing on Apple Watch. Therefore, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Currently, the Apple Watch has limited compatibility with iPads and Macs. If a user wants to follow Apple Fitness+ workout routines on iPad, the smartwatch needs to be paired with an Apple iPhone and logged in to the iPad with the same AppleID. Similarly, Mac users can use the Apple Watch to sign in, make payments using Apple Pay, view passwords, and authenticate apps.
