Multibagger stock trading 147% above 52-week-low declares 2:5 bonus shares and 60% dividend: Do you own?

During Wednesday’s closing session, Aptech Ltd., a small cap firm, reported a market cap of 2,005.53 Cr. Under Aptech Ltd., a renowned training facility that has led the way in specific fields including English Communication, Banking & Finance, and IT Learning Solutions, is Aptech Learning. While declaring its Q4 and FY23 earnings today the company 2:5 bonus shares and 60% for its eligible shareholders. 

“The Board declared an Interim dividend of Rs. 6/- per equity share of face value of Rs. 10/- each for the Financial Year 2022-23 (i.e., 60% of the face value), subject to the approval of the shareholders in the ensuing Annual General Meeting (‘AGM’). The Board approved issue of Bonus Shares to the Equity Shareholders of the Company in the ratio of 2:5 [2 (Two) Equity shares for every 5 (Five) equity shares] held as on the record date, subject to the approval of the shareholders in the meeting by postal ballot,” said Aptech in a stock exchange filing today.

The estimated date by which such bonus shares would be credited/dispatched is within 2 months from the date of approval of Board for the bonus issue subject to the shareholder’s approval i.e., on or before Sunday, July 23, 2023, according to Aptech.

The company has reported a total income of Rs.181.47 crores during the quarter ended March 31, 2023 as compared to Rs.66.99 crores during the quarter ended March 31, 2022, representing a gain of 170.88% YoY. During Q4FY23 its net profit stood at 33.35 Cr compared to 25.54 Cr in Q4FY22, representing a gain of 30.55%. During the quarter under review, the EPS of Aptech stood at 8.05 up by 29.63% YoY from 6.21 in the year-ago quarter. 

The shares of Aptech Ltd closed today on the BSE at 484.25 apiece up by 3.01% from the previous close of 470.10. The stock touched a 52-week-high of 494.95 on (22/05/2023) and a 52-week-low of 196.05 on (20/06/2022), indicating that at the current market price, the stock is trading 147% above the 1 year low and 2.16% below the recent 1 year high.

During Q4FY23, the company reported promoters shareholding of 47.37%, FIIs stake of 7.57%, DIIs stake of 1.22% and public stake of 43.85%.
