Mumbai: 35-year-old man murdered for over Rs 100

A man was thrashed to death by his colleague from a cement block, allegedly over a payment of Rs 100, in Girgaum, Mumbai.

A 35-year-old man was thrashed to death by his accomplice with a cement block allegedly over payment of Rs 100 in Mumbai’s Girgaum.

Arjun Yashwant Singh Sarhar, originally from Rajasthan, used to do odd jobs in the area and had borrowed Rs 100 from his colleague Manoj Marajkole (36), an official said.

“Thursday night, the two were under the influence of alcohol and had a fight over debt. When Sarhar went to sleep near the Madhav Bhawan complex, Marajkole crushed his head with a cement block in the early hours of Friday. fled from the spot, was arrested a few hours later,” the VP Road police station official said.

He has been sent to police custody till Tuesday, the official said.
