Mumbai drug-on-cruise case: Aryan Khan out of NCB summons citing fever

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by senior NCB officer Sanjay Kumar Singh reached Mumbai on Saturday, a day after the agency handed over the probe to it in six cases, including the controversial cruise drugs case.

The NCB last month arrested Aryan Khan and at least 19 others in the cruise drugs case and the agency’s Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede is facing a departmental vigilance inquiry after an independent witness joined the probe in the case. The extortion bid was made by the people. .

Bombay High Court granted bail Aryan on 28 October. However, he could not be released from jail till 30 October. documents Did not reach the jail authorities in time regarding his release.

The high court had on October 29 made available its operative order in which it imposed 14 bail conditions on Aryan Khan and his co-accused in the case – Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, who were also granted bail.

The court fixed his release on a personal bond 1 lakh with one or two sureties of equal amount.

In the five-page order, the high court also said that the trio will have to surrender their passports before the NDPS court and not leave India without taking permission from the special court.

They are required to be present in the NCB office every Friday between 11 AM to 2 PM to mark their attendance.

Aryan had visited the NCB office in Mumbai on 5 November to mark his weekly appearance as per the bail conditions. This was his first appearance at the NCB office after his release from Arthur Road Jail.
