Mumbai: A man grievously injured his wife by allegedly stabbing her vakola He was in Mumbai on Tuesday morning when he allegedly found his two children beating up for not studying, police said.

“He hit his wife Jayshree in the neck and stomach several times, and her condition is critical. He then came to the police station and released himself. We have found that the couple often fought over petty things, and triggered the trigger. The stabbing incident was of his wife hitting them while teaching their children,” he said.
The officer said he stabbed her in front of their two children and neighbors alerted the police, who heard screams from the house.
Deputy Commissioner of Police DS Swamy said, “We have arrested Varpe under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code for attempt to murder. Further investigation into the incident is on.”
