People got relief from the ongoing heat carnival due to the rain in the city of dreams. Two days after the Meteorological Department sounded an alert, Mumbai received moderate rains, thanks to the southwest monsoon reaching the city’s coasts.

Incessant rains brought the mercury below 30 degrees Celsius and laid-back Mumbaikars displayed their celebration on social media. Just as the streets of Mumbai rained heavily, the Twitter space was also flooded with visuals of the city during a massive downpour.
It has been raining in Mumbai for the last two days and the Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for today. Here are some posts that Mumbaikars share to welcome the rains in their home city.

While many celebrated the arrival of rain in Mumbai, some visionary users shared the days when the soothing rain would turn into heavy hail.
