Mumbaikars remained drowsy on Sunday as visibility remained poor due to the dust storm that started in Balochistan. Intermittent dusty winds added to the haze, and also brought down the temperature. The Santa Cruz observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 23.8 degrees Celsius, which was Mumbai’s lowest day temperature in January in the last 10 years. Officials of the India Meteorological Department said that the dust storm originated in Balochistan and then moved towards Saurashtra before reaching Mumbai and parts of North Konkan.
