A man who was attacked by a group of people on Saturday night at NTR Road in Shivamogga City succumbed to his injuries on Sunday morning. Police named the deceased as 28-year-old Jikarullah Khan, a resident of Tipu Nagar in the city.
Jikarullah Khan was allegedly attacked by Imran alias Twist Imran, Gas Imran, Shahbaz, Ruman, Wasim, Kala Wasim and Nabil. Seriously injured, Zikarulla was taken to Mack Gann Hospital, where he later died.
The reason for the murder is said to be an old enmity between Jikarullah and others. Doddapet police have registered a case. It is being told that two accused have been arrested by the police.
