Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Hyderabad beat Delhi by 3 wickets, UP win against Uttarakhand Cricket News – Times of India

Sultanpur (Haryana) : Captain Tanmay Agarwal Hyderabad scored 54 runs in 34 balls to beat Delhi by three wickets in a thrilling final ball match in the Elite Group E match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Championship on Monday.
Electing to field first after winning the toss, Hyderabad bowlers restricted Delhi to 171 for five in 20 overs.
Chasing a daunting target of 172 runs, Hyderabad completed the task on the last ball of the game despite the failure of India’s Hanuma Vihari at the top of the order.
During the middle, the 26-year-old Agarwal hit six fours and two sixes while stitching 64 runs for the second wicket. Tilak VermaWho contributed 37 runs in 32 balls.
With his off-spin bowling, Lalit Yadav caught Agarwal in front of the wicket in the 11th over and Hyderabad needed 86 more runs to win from 55 balls.
Verma was the third batsman to be dismissed for 113 for three in the 14th over. Hyderabad soon lost another wicket as Delhi looked to get back in the game.
Rahul Buddhi played a useful innings of 17 runs in 12 balls, but had it not been for Tanay Thiagarajan’s 17 off 10 balls and Chama Milind’s 14 off 8 balls, Hyderabad would not have won the match.
The two batsmen added 33 runs for an unbroken eighth-wicket partnership, hitting some sixes and a four when their team needed them the most.
left arm fast bowler Pradeep Sangwan Ended with impressive figures of 3/27 in his entire quota of four overs, while off-break bowler Shivank Vashisht took two wickets in an over.
Opening the innings for Delhi, wicketkeeper Anuj Rawat scored 41 runs in 33 balls. Nitish Rana scored 34 off 27 balls while Lalit Yadav remained unbeaten on 19 off just six balls.
In the second group match of the day, Uttar Pradesh beat Uttarakhand with seven wickets and 15 balls to spare.
In another match, Saurashtra beat Chandigarh by a huge margin of 42 runs. Batting first, Saurashtra made a fine score of 209/4 with Arpit Vasavada and sheldon jackson make 72 and 70 respectively.
