It completely stunned me because a woman of her stature was so humble and grounded. I remember, I had to hug him in one scene and my face was completely hidden, then he told me that I had to hug him in such a way that my face was at the side of the camera or else I would be completely hidden! She was right. .She is extremely polite and parenting and really cares about her co-stars”.

She also said, “Sometimes after taking, she’d give me feedback and push me to do better. In one scene, when I was struggling, she really managed to get out of my head and deliver. Helped me out. She always appreciated me when she liked my performance in a scene, it meant the world to me! As young people are starting out, having someone like Madhuri ma’am is a blessing, take note That’s what we do and appreciate us. I found a mentor in that and it was really cool. Also we both love to sing. So we used to sing a lot on the sets sometimes. It was just fantastic.”

Meanwhile, Laxveer Saran shared, he started seeing Madhuri Dixit, who plays his on-screen mother in the show, in real life as well as family. “It was surreal in the beginning with Madhuri ma’am, because it’s hard to forget the fact that you’re working with Madhuri Dixit. What I tried to do was see her as a mother in the scenes and in between shots too. But credit also goes to her because she never understood that Madhuri Dixit was a superstar but a co-actor who was equally invested in the scene and made me feel so comfortable”.

“Having him around gave me a great sense of security. There’s a scene where I’m breaking down and I go to hug him and he realizes it’s a small set up and I might just go out of frame.” She immediately grabbed my shoulders and brought me back in the frame. She is Madhuri Dixit to me. She is amazing. So, I have had that relationship with her and now she feels like family,” he added .
