A chartered plane with four Maharashtra MLAs reached Guwahati on Wednesday to join the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs who had reached the city earlier in the day.
Four MLAs – Chandrakant Patil, Yogesh Kadam, Manjula Gavit and Gulabrao Patil – arrived from Surat in Gujarat in the evening like the MLAs who had accompanied Shinde in the morning.
They were taken to a hotel in the city where other MLAs are camping.
It is not clear how many MLAs are camping with Shinde in Guwahati. Earlier, Shinde had claimed that he had the support of 40 MLAs.
MVA unnatural alliance, says Shinde
In a 4-point tweet on Wednesday evening, Shinde termed the MVA alliance in Maharashtra as “unnatural” and said only the NCP and Congress benefited from the alliance.
“In the last two-and-a-half years, the MVA government has benefited only the constituents (NCP and Congress),” he said.
Shinde said that while the constituents have strengthened, the Shiv Sainiks and the Sena have weakened.
“For the survival of the party and Shiv Sainiks, it is necessary to come out of the ‘unnatural’ front. Decision needs to be taken now in the interest of Maharashtra,” he said.
If any rebel MLA says I shouldn’t quit, I will leave: Uddhav
In an emotional address to the people amid deepening political crisis, Uddhav Thackeray said that he is ready to step down if anyone from the rebel camp says that he should not continue in his role.
Uddhav expressed displeasure over the fact that the MLAs of his own party have revolted against him.

In his address, the Chief Minister said that he has kept his resignation ready and if any MLA feels that he should not quit, he will step down.

He said, ‘I am ready to give my resignation to the MLAs, they should come here and take my resignation to the Raj Bhavan. I am also ready to quit the post of Shiv Sena party chief, not at the behest of others but at the behest of my workers. Told.
Thackeray also reiterated his party’s Hindutva credentials and said that Shiv Sena will never give up the ideology of Hindutva.
Later, Uddhav held a meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar for about an hour.
After the meeting, he moved out of his official residence ‘Varsha’ to Matoshree, the private bungalow of the Thackeray family.
Party workers raised slogans and showered petals on the CM when he along with his family members left his official home at around 9.30 pm.
Rebel MLAs wrote a letter to the Governor in support of Eknath Shinde
Uddhav’s address came after 34 rebel Shiv Sena MLAs wrote to the Governor supporting Eknath Shinde.
The MLAs supported Shinde as the leader of the party.
Sanjay Raut’s Shifting Stand
Earlier today, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut Indicating that Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray may recommend the dissolution of the state assembly to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari as the crisis in the MVA deepens.
“The political developments in Maharashtra are moving towards the dissolution of the state assembly,” Raut said.

However, later in the day, Raut said that Uddhav will “remain the chief minister” of Maharashtra and the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance “will prove its majority on the floor of the House if given a chance”.
His statement has come after extensive discussions with Uddhav’s Sharad Pawar and NCP’s Supriya Sule.

Amid the Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra government facing a crisis following a rebellion by a section of its MLAs, senior Congress leader Kamal Nath said his party is united and its MLAs are “not for sale”.
Nath, who was on Tuesday appointed as the AICC observer in Maharashtra in the wake of the political turmoil in the state, and NCP chief Sharad Pawar are expected to meet Chief Minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray around noon.
