Mysuru: Entrepreneurial business establishments, in the face of pandemic and with lives and safety of people a great concern MysoreTo attract customers, including shopkeepers and hotels, are displaying ‘staff fully immunized’ boards on their premises.
Business establishments say that although restrictions have been lifted, people are very selective when choosing public places and utility service providers, especially after the horrors of the second wave. They say these signs inspire confidence so much that even hospitals and dental clinics are displaying them.
“Our aim is to make patients feel comfortable,” said a unit head of a private hospital in Lakshmipuram. “A common belief is that fully vaccinated people do not carry or spread the virus. To ensure treatment and counseling without any fear in the minds of patients, we demonstrate these. We also ensure that Patients should get the vaccine as soon as possible.
C Narayan Gowda, President, Mysore District Hotel Owners Associationdisclosed that the association had arranged the first dose of the vaccine for the employees of all affiliated units as it was important to attract customers. He said that the pandemic has dealt a huge blow to the region.
“It was important for us to do this,” Gowda said. “Now, all the employees working in hotels have been fully vaccinated. The second dose was given in government primary health centres.
District Immunization Officer MS Jayant said several laborers were notified as frontline warriors. “It is the responsibility of the owners to ensure that all employees are fully vaccinated,” he said.
