Lokesh Tekal, a resident of Kappatgudda in Mundargi, has been treating Bommai since Wednesday. During the winter session of the state legislature in Belagavi, when the CM suffered severe knee pain, the former deputy CM and MLA Laxman Savadi Referred to Lokesh and introduced to the east.

The problem of knee pain is quite common – hundreds of people have been cured through traditional medicine. CM has to take medicines made from vegetable and goat milk twice a day for 40 days. “Even an oil prepared from vanaspati and jadibooti (herb) is given to the chief minister to apply on the knee for relief from pain,” he said.
Savadi said that he had consulted more than 25 allopathy doctors to get treatment for his skin ailment. “But it is Nati Vaidya Lokesh who treated me. Knowing his skills, I suggested that the CM also get the treatment done by him,” he said: “In Belagavi, Lokesh started the treatment and gave Bommai traditional medicine. The Chief Minister said that he is getting relief from pain due to the oil treatment.
He was arrested in 2019
It is learned that Lokesh was arrested by the police in May 2019 for not being eligible to treat the patients.
Gadag District Ayush Officer Dr. mallikarjuna uppin told TOI that the authorities had raided Lokesh’s hospital in Mahalingapur, adding that the matter is pending in the court. Lokesh admitted that a CSE was filed against him and he was in jail for 40 days. He also alleged that it was a conspiracy to defame his name and the case was quashed.
