Neva is a tool neutral and member centric application that enables legislative members to conduct diverse home business smartly by entering complete information about member contact details, rules of procedure, business list, notices, bulletins, bills, starred or unstarred questions and answers. prepared to handle. This is the medium through which we will use this NeVA application for a paperless house in the Assembly, Speaker Sharingan Longkumar said while giving a statement on the new application. Longkumer said a similar system outside the framework of Neva is underway in Himachal Pradesh, while several other state legislatures are moving in this direction.
Paperless assembly of e-assembly is a concept which includes electronic means to facilitate all the functions of the legislature. This is being done under the supervision of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. The Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has already conducted initial introduction training for the members and it will continue with the training program for the benefit of all the members. He said that in the coming days it would be extended to take full advantage of the e-Vidhan system and one of its goals of making the working of the State Legislature paperless would be achieved.
Once all other legislatures implement it, Parliament and all state legislatures will be effectively clubbed together, the Speaker said. The cost of implementing Neva is shared by the Central and State Governments on a 90:10 basis. The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has commended the country’s first Legislative Assembly for conducting the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the Speaker informed the House. The Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs had earlier said that Neva aims to bring all the Legislative Assemblies of the country on a single platform to create a huge data depository.
