Nagpur: District and Additional Sessions Judge AM Deshmukh on Thursday sentenced a 36-year-old man to life imprisonment after finding him guilty of raping his biological mother.
The man, a labourer, had forced himself on the mother despite her pleas. The incident happened in June last year.

The court had convicted the accused under section 376(2)(f) of the Indian Penal Code.Indian Penal Code,
Additional Public Prosecutor Rashmi Khaparde said, “The court has ruled that the accused will remain behind bars till his last breath as per the amendment in the provision. The court also considers the case as rarest of rare.” About 10 witnesses have been examined in the case.
The case was registered under the supervision of senior PI Wathoda Ashalata Khapre and monitored by CP Amitesh Kumar.
The police and prosecutors had requested a fast track court and completed the trial in less than a month.
