Telugu Desam Party President N. In a direct attack on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu alleged that Reddy used the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case and Kodi Kathi case as a weapon to gain sympathy during the 2019 general elections.

He addressed a public meeting as part of Idem Kharma Amaravathi village in Pedakurapadu assembly segment of Palnadu district attracted a large number of people after conducting a roadshow for over three hours on Tuesday.

Shri Naidu said, “Those who killed their uncle, leveled allegations against me, spread false propaganda in their own media. But, the CBI investigation and the arguments in the courts are telling the truth. Is this not unfair on the part of Shri Jagan Reddy? Similarly Mr. Jagan did the drama of Kodi Kathi to gain sympathy and leveled allegations against me. But, the NIA investigation clearly revealed that the accused involved in the crime belonged to YSRCP and not TDP. Besides, Mr. Jagan accused me of stealing the pink diamond from the sacred TTD temple. Reacting to this, I filed a defamation suit for ₹100 crore, but Mr. Jagan, after becoming the Chief Minister, withdrew the case from the court. So, I again filed a private case in the court against YSRCP and Mr. Jagan.

The Leader of the Opposition criticized that the Chief Minister had completely failed to bring investment in the state, create new jobs. There has been no development in the state in the last four years. He said that he named the capital city Amaravati in the spirit of this holy place situated on the banks of the river. But, the chief minister brutally ruined the capital city for vested interests, he alleged. He assured that he would soon announce the best welfare schemes for the public.

Former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana criticized that Jagan betrayed the public after assuming power. He alleged that Mr. Jagan during his padayatra assured the public that he would develop and do welfare of the state. But, in the last four years, Mr Jagan indulged in corruption, he alleged. Mr Kanna demanded that the Chief Minister answer on the expenditure of Rs 9 lakh crore taken as loan for the last four years.

Pedakurapdu in-charge Komalapati Sridhar said TDP is going to return to power with a thumping majority in the upcoming general elections. Palnadu district president GV Anjananelu alleged that the YSRCP government was harassing opposition party leaders by registering false cases.
