In the scene, Vennela (Keerthy Suresh) quarrels with her mother Ramanamma (Jhansi). Vennela asks Ramanamma how can she be okay with the fact that her marriage is fixed with Dharani (played by Nani). Vennela wanted to marry Suryam, nicknamed Suri (played by Dixit Shetty). Ramanamma is shown crying and not saying a word. At this time, Suri’s mother (Surbhi Prabhavati) comes home and explains to Vennela that she (Suri) is dead now. Vennela has to face this reality and move on with Dharani as his wife. At the end of the scene, Dharani is shown listening to the conversation and crying. He is disappointed that Vennela does not love him.
Viewers loved the deleted scene and commented that it should not have been edited from the film. One of the viewers commented that it elevates Vennela’s character, showing her as someone who knows how to speak up for her rights. Nani’s followers were also curious to know whether there will be a sequel to Dussehra or not. He clarified in an interview with Pinkvilla that there is no scope for Dussehra 2. “The second is a story, beginning and ending in one part,” affirmed Nani.
For those who haven’t seen Dussehra, the story revolves around the life of coal thief Dharani (Nani) and Suri (Dixit Shetty). His life takes a difficult turn when he gets involved in local politics related to Silk Bar, a place for local politics.
