Police officials said that a banner containing seven pamphlets was also found from the spot, in which the names of Chhattisgarh Regional Committee and Malajkhand Kshetra Samiti of Maoists are mentioned.

He said the pamphlet mentions the killing of 26 Maoists, including prominent Maoist leader Milind Teltumbde (57), who had a reward of Rs 50 lakh on his head. This encounter of the police took place on November 13 in Gadchiroli.

Madhya Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Rajesh Rajora said on Saturday that the state government has decided to bring three Naxal-affected districts – Dindori, Balaghat and Mandla – into one police zone from December 1.

Dindori was part of Shahdol Police Zone, but now it has become a part of Balaghat Zone as all the three Naxal-affected districts have been brought into one zone.

Balaghat has been one of the most Naxal affected districts in MP.

Last month, a group of Maoists had allegedly killed two villagers on suspicion of being police informers in Malikhedi village of Balaghat.
