New Nattu Kaka in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: It was a major setback for TMKOC and many fans were left heartbroken when the news of veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak was announced last year. The veteran was loved for playing the role of ‘Natu Kaka’ in the popular show. Now months after the OG actor passed away, the TMKOC team has announced the name of the actor who will replace the protagonist. Comedy show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has got a new ‘Nattu Kaka’ in theater legend Kiran Bhatt. The OG ‘Nattu Kaka’ essayed by veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak, died of cancer on October 3, 2021.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the show’s verified page posted a picture of Kiran Bhatt, which read, “Thank you for all the love you showered on us and Nattu Kaka. … iss hi baat pe presents our new Nattu Kaka (sic).”

Interestingly, in real life, Kiran and Nayak had a long friendship, dating back to their early years in the theater industry.

“It is almost as if the old Nattu Kaka is bringing the new Nattu Kaka and I am delighted to play the role of my dear friend Ghanshyam. It is a very emotional role for me and I hope I can play the role of Ghanshyam. Will do justice with you, right from the beginning,” IANS quoted Kiran Bhatt as commenting on the same.

Asit Kumar Modi, the creative visionary behind the entire character universe, welcomed the new Nattu Kaka into the family, saying, “Recently when we inaugurated the new showroom of Gada Electronics, it still didn’t feel complete and something was missing. We had Tha Nattu Kaka to be back. The love we have received since its launch in 2008 is immense and we hope the audience will embrace Nattu Kaka as he is all set to return to Jethalal’s newly inaugurated store Huh.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a daily comedy show which first aired in 2008 and is now in its 14th year with over 3400 episodes.
