NBS to celebrate its golden jubilee in August – Times of India

Hyderabad: Navina Balananda Sangham (NBS), set up to encourage creative talent among children, will celebrate its golden jubilee celebrations with the title Navina Balala Swarnotsavamulu 2022. NBS is the first children’s organization started by children for children and children of Telangana. State.

NBS was established on 15 August 1969 in Chikkadpally, Hyderabad. Children of Telangana living or studying in and around Chikkadapalli came together to form a friendly association to promote unity and showcase their inherent creative skills.

Sangam has been a torch bearer in encouraging creative talent among children since 1969 – initially focusing on the children of Chikkadapally area. Gradually, it has become very popular among kids and parents with its activities in Hyderabad. It has always been encouraging children to participate in drama, dance, singing, mono action, storytelling and writing, scientific innovations, eloquence and debate and many other events to help children imbibe values ​​and make them responsible citizens. It has many achievements and has won many awards and prizes since its inception. It achieved many prestigious events like the All India Children’s Festival held in 1975, World Telugu Conference 1975, annual children’s drama competitions organized by the then government. NBS has been organizing various programs and competitions for children in the age group of 5-15 years and provides mementos and certificates as a part of its annual celebrations.

The founding children of NBS are now over 60 senior children spread across the globe and many of them have achieved achievements in various walks of life.

As a part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, NBS proposed to organize competitions for children from the city (studying in classes I to VIII). NBS will organize competitions without any entry fee for children participating in select creative programs (dance-classical and non-classical, choir-classical and non-classical, drawing and painting, fancy dress, quiz and speech). Prizes will be presented to the winners at a function to be held on August 28.
