NDTV wins journalism award for highlighting UP’s ‘love jihad’ cases

NDTV’s Srinivasan Jain and Mariam Allawi have won the International Press Institute (IPI) India Excellence in Journalism Award, 2021.

recognizes the award NDTV show ‘Reality Check’ Uncovering legally suspect ‘love jihad’ cases by Uttar Pradesh Police against inter-religious couples.

The award consists of one lakh rupees, a trophy and a citation.

The IPI jury is headed by Justice Madan B Lokur, a former judge of the Supreme Court of India.

The International Press Institute (IPI) is a global organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of press freedom and the improvement of journalistic practices.
