Neena Gupta’s recent kitchen diary is making us nostalgic for Diwali snacks

Are you craving breakfast but want it to be simple and fun? Well, don’t call your local pizza takeaway just yet. Instead, try some homemade Indian snacks that are healthier and bring with them a fresh punch of flavours. Veteran actress Neena Gupta is showing us the way. He has made a dish of Chivda in his kitchen. This snack is made of grains, apples, herbs, spices and nuts according to personal preference. Neena Gupta shows us the ingredients used for her recipe. In a video that she posted on Instagram, we see her using flattened rice or wheat flakes, sev and Kurmura for the recipe.

She also shows us a tray of cashews, peanuts, raisins, herbs, green chillies and chutney or pickle. Soon, we see him mixing all the ingredients in a tray with his hands. Then she says that Chivda is ready to eat.

He wrote in the caption, “The mind was sad so did some effort made Chivda (Feeling sad. So, tried my hand at making Chivda).”

Make a tadka with mustard seeds and curry leaves and spice it up with turmeric, chili powder and black pepper.
