NEET 2021 counseling starts soon, NTA issued important notice

NS National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 The counseling is likely to start soon. NS National Testing Agency (NTA), In its latest notification, the agency has said that all India A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the rank of all the candidates (AIR) and the central and state NEET counseling authorities for the colleges falling under their jurisdiction for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.

The official statement said, “NTA has awarded All India Rank to the candidates and the admission authority will prepare a merit list on the basis of All India Rank for MBBS/BDS seats falling under their jurisdiction. When candidates apply in their state, they will mention their category according to the state category list. The state counseling authorities will make their merit list accordingly. Same is the case with Domicile. There is no role of NTA in this and no change in any data will be done by NTA.”

Those who qualify for the counseling round will have to complete the formalities with the respective counseling authorities, i.e. DGHS, State Directorate of Medical Education etc. “The counseling details and schedule will be available on the websites of the ministry. Health and Family Welfare, State Directorate of Medical Education as applicable.”

NTA had conducted NEET 2021 on 12 September and the results were released on 1 November on the basis of eligibility criteria laid down by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and information submitted by the candidates in their online application form. All India merit list in percentile has been prepared on the basis of highest marks obtained in NEET 2021 for admission to MBBS/BDS courses, the notice said.

During NEET 2021 counselling, verification of eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents etc of eligible candidates will be done as specified by the concerned authorities and/or medical or dental colleges. “NTA takes no responsibility as to the correctness/ genuineness of the information/documents uploaded during the application process,” the notice said.
