NEET 2021 state counseling schedule released, process starts from January 27

National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the counseling schedule for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2021 for All India Quota and State wise Medical College seats at nmc.org.in. While AIQ will be done by the MCC, the state counseling will be done by the concerned authorities. Of the total seats, 15 per cent will be filled by the MCC and the remaining 85 per cent will be filled through the state authorities.

The first round of state counseling will start from January 27, followed by the second round, mop-up counseling and stray vacancy round. The whole process of counseling will end on March 20.

First round of NEET 2021 counseling – January 27 to January 31

Last date of joining – 7th February

Second round of counseling – February 15 to February 18

Last date of joining- 24 February

Mop Up Round – 7th March to 10th March

Last date of joining – 15 March

Online Stray Vacancy Round for AIQ/Central and Deemed Universities/ESIC/AIIMS/JIPMER (Puducherry/Karaikal) seats- 16 March

Last date of joining – 20 March

Meanwhile, AIQ counseling for 15 per cent seats is starting from tomorrow, January 19. It will run till 28 January and the last date of joining is 4 February. The second counseling process will start from February 9 and will continue till January 18. Join is February 26. The mop-up round starts on March 2 and runs till March 11. The last date to join is 19th March. Stray vacancy round counseling starts from 21st and 22nd March and the last date to attend is 26th March.

The official notice said, “In order to ensure faithful adherence to the timetable and keeping in view the limited time available for conducting counselling, all the participating institutes/colleges are directed to conduct all the Saturday/ Treat Sundays and gazetted holidays as working days.

After the NEET counseling process is over, students have to report for acceptance of the seat by paying the admission fee and reporting to the college for further document verification process. Those who did not get the desired medical college seats and courses can float the seat and wait for the next round of NEET 2021 counselling.
