NEET 2022 Today: Things to Carry in the Exam Hall, Dress Code and Other Important Instructions

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2022 Today, July 17th starts at 2 PM. However, the last reporting time is 12.30 pm. The NTA said that candidates wearing traditional clothes will have to reach the examination center at 11:30 am to ensure that proper search is conducted without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.

This year more than 18 lakh students have registered for the medical entrance exam. Candidates have to carry the hall ticket or admit card distributed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 12th July. It is available on the official website -neet.nta.nic.in. The exam will be conducted for 3 hours 20 minutes.

NEET 2022: What to carry

– Valid Identity Proof like PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport, Ration Card

– Personal small hand sanitizer (50 ml)

NEET 2022: What not to carry

Certain gadgets, including phones, smartwatches, microphones, and more, are strictly prohibited. NTA has further specified that ownership of any of these items shall be construed as misconduct and use of unfair tactics.

NTA also shared COVID-19 guidelines for the safety of NEET 2022 candidates. Students should practice social distancing, compulsorily wear N-95 masks in the examination hall, use sanitizers where possible, strictly follow respiratory etiquette like covering mouth or nose while coughing or sneezing.

NEET 2022: Dress Code

Low heels and sandals are allowed but shoes are not allowed in the examination hall to prevent copying. No jewelery or metal objects, watches or wristwatches, bracelets, cameras, etc. are allowed. Students are not allowed to wear things like wallet, goggles, handbag, belt, cap etc. If anyone is found wearing these, they will be asked to remove the articles as per NTA rules.

“NTA believes in the sanctity and fairness of conducting the examination, however, it (girl) also believes in the sensitivity involved in frisking the candidates and will issue comprehensive instructions to the staff and other officials at the examination centres, according to the rules. The women candidates will be searched only by women employees inside a closed enclosure,” read the official brochure.
