Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) has asked state counseling bodies to revise their counseling schedule National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 In the light of extension of Undergraduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) medical counseling dates for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The MCC recommends that the State Counseling be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) after completing its All India Counseling.
The schedule of UG and PG counseling for each round will be extended from time to time in various counseling cases as directed by the court. Candidates can check the official notification on the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in.

“It is advised that the States may modify their schedule in such a way that each round of State Quota counseling is followed by All India Quota counseling conducted by the MCC of DGHS in WP(C) no. 2015. 76 of Ashish Ranjan et al. Vs Union of India and others,” read the MCC notification.
The decision was taken after receiving representations from the State DMEs regarding change in the schedule of State Counseling by the MCC of DGHS, as there was a conflict between the schedule of All India UG & PG Counseling conducted by the MCC of DGHS and the State Counseling.
The notice said, “The MCC of DGHS is receiving representations from the DMEs of the State regarding amendment in the schedule of State Counseling as in the Schedule of All India UG/PG Counseling being conducted by the MCC of DGHS and State Counseling.” There is a conflict going on.”

Meanwhile, the deadline for NEET PG counseling 2021 round 2 choice filling has been extended till February 14. The choice locking period for round 2 of PG counseling will run from February 13 to February 14.
For All India Quota seats – 15 percent for UG and 50 percent for PG – MCC conducts NEET UG and PG counseling. MCC will conduct four rounds of counseling for UG and PG medical and dental seats. AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Round and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round are the four rounds.
