NEET PG 2022 counseling schedule revised, second round college reporting deadline extended

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) released the revised schedule of state counseling on Tuesday. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Post Graduate (NEET PG 2022), following the order of the Supreme Court. Interested candidates can check the new schedule on the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in. As per the revised counseling schedule, the counseling for NEET PG 2022 second round was earlier scheduled to end on October 26. Now it has been extended till 28 October.

The last date to join colleges is 2nd November. The mop up round will be conducted from November 9 to November 14, and the last date for joining will be on November 17. The round of disorientation will be held from November 21 to 23. Qualified candidates of NEET PG will have to report to the college by November 25.

“With reference to the order dated 21.10.22 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court” India WP(C) No. 76/2015 in Miscellaneous Application No. 1763/2022, the Hon’ble Court has confirmed the schedule of NEET PG Counseling 2022 for All India Counseling as well as State Counseling,” reads the official notice. NEET PG counseling is being conducted for 50 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 100 percent for Deemed, Central Universities, AFMS, PG DNB seats.

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) had earlier withdrawn the first merit list as some PG DNB institutes had not completed their address profile on the portal, due to which their seats were not visible. Many candidates were upset saying that the delay in the medical counseling process is causing them Mental stress and called it a “brutal joke”. The Directorate General of Health Services had assured the students that it would not have much impact on their counseling schedule as it would make a difference of just one day.
