National Eligibility Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET) PG 2022 Postponed till 9th ​​July. It was earlier scheduled to be held on May 21. The announcement comes after several candidates of the medical entrance exam demanded its postponement. He claimed that he would not have enough time to prepare for the exam due to the delay in the NEET PG 2021 counseling process.

The candidates had said that conducting the exam would disqualify around 5,000 medical interns to appear for the exam. They had served as COVID warriors during the Covid-19 pandemic. A petition was earlier filed in the Supreme Court seeking clarification on the EWS criteria with regard to its validity. The matter is pending in the matter related to the counseling of 2022. The petition has sought a direction to the apex court to specify in the information bulletin about the EWS criteria for the academic session 2022-23.

a section of The candidates had earlier written to President Ram Nath Kovind Demand for postponement of examination He had pointed out that since NEET PG counseling 2021 is not over yet, it leaves very little gap between counseling and the next examination. Further, he said, while the application forms are currently available, the doctors who have finally cleared their examination and are yet to get the seats are waiting for the NEET PG counseling 2021 to be over. This way they will miss their chance to apply for NEET PG 2022.

The young doctors had said that they would be left with no option but to hand over their prestigious medical degree to the government. In a letter to the President, he had said that the examination bodies were harassing him and there was no one to show sympathy or compassion to him.

NEET PG 2022: Exam Pattern

NEET PG 2022 will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) and will have questions in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) mode. The exam will be of 3 hours 30 minutes with a total of 200 questions. The syllabus of the exam will consist of subjects as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The medium of instruction will be in English only. For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded four marks and one mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt.
