The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 which was postponed earlier last month will now be conducted on August 11. As per an announcement by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on its official website, the exam will be conducted in two shifts. All applicants for the NEET PG medical entrance test can now check the revised date on the website, natboard.edu.in.

The official announcement by NBEMS states, “In continuation of the NBEMS notice dated 22.06.2024, the conduct of the NEET PG 2024 exam has been rescheduled. The NEET-PG 2024 shall now be conducted on 11th August 2024 in two shifts.” According to the notification, the cut-off date for eligibility for appearing in the NEET PG 2024 would remain August 15, 2024.

NEET PG 2024 was originally slated for June 23, however, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) rescheduled it as a precautionary measure. It indicated that the reliability of the systems utilised to administer the NEET-PG entrance examination will be examined. The health ministry had previously stated that it would conduct a thorough examination of the NEET-PG testing processes for medical students, which are being administered by the NBEMS and its technology partner TCS.

The date of this year’s NEET PG test has been revised multiple times. The test was supposed to take place on March 3, nevertheless it was later postponed. The National Medical Commission (NMC) postponed the exam until June 23 owing to the Rath Yatra event, but this exam too was subsequently cancelled.
