NEET Test: HC seeks reply from NTA

A division bench of the Kerala High Court on Wednesday sought response from the National Testing Agency (NTA) on a plea seeking introduction of a common protocol for conducting the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

Petitioner Asif Azad has sought directions in view of the recent incident in which some girl students were forced to remove their innerwear at an examination center in Kollam. He requested for directions to give compensation to these candidates who are going through mental trauma and stress due to the action of those candidates at the examination centre.

He said that this is not the first time such an incident has happened. A similar incident took place in Kannur in 2017 and four teachers of a school were suspended for asking a girl to remove her innerwear before entering the examination hall.
