It all started when Javed Akhtar reacted to PM Narendra Modi’s announcement to install a statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. India Gate, The lyricist shared a post on his Twitter account saying that while he agrees with the ‘idea’ of installing it, he feels ‘the choice of the statue is not right’. It was written in his tweet, ‘The idea of the statue of Netaji is fine but the choice of the statue is not right. The traffic would move around it throughout the day and the idol would stand in a saluting posture. It is below his limits, one should either sit or raise his fist as if someone is shouting a slogan.’ His post went viral within no time and many netizens started trolling him and commented, ‘Yes and you should sing Arabic songs’, ‘Better to focus on your poetry’ and ‘Sir, if If you have any other suggestion, then please tell now, so that before taking any further decision, Modi ji should consider your advice once. Declaration regarding the establishment of Netaji statue After unveiling the hologram statue of Bose was made by PM Narendra Modi on his 125th birth anniversary. The statue of Netaji being made by famous sculptor Advaita Gadnayak will be installed under a grand canopy at India Gate.
