Upcoming New Honda Hornet Concept Revealed in Sketches

Honda has revealed the official concept sketches of the upcoming all-new Honda Hornet, which was announced by the Japanese two-wheeler maker at the EICMA show in Milan in November 2021. The new Hornet (not to be confused with the Made in India 184 cc Honda Hornet 2.0), revives the name of a naked Honda CB600F that was originally produced between 1998 and 2006, later replaced by a 900 cc The version was updated. While the original had a 97 bhp inline four-cylinder engine, the new, re-launched Honda Hornet is likely to get a parallel-twin engine with a displacement of around 750 cc.

Upcoming Honda Hornet likely to be powered by a 750cc parallel-twin engine

The new 750cc parallel-twin Honda Hornet is likely to be an all-new platform that will form the basis for a new family of bikes, including a new Honda Transalp, which will revive another name from Honda’s history. The Transalp will be a mid-sized adventure bike though, and once it is introduced, there is likely to be an update to the Honda Africa Twin as well, perhaps boasting more features, and perhaps even more performance.

0 notes

The original Honda Hornet was introduced in Europe in 1998 and was powered by a 599 cc inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The next-gen Honda Hornet is likely to be revived with a 755 cc parallel-twin motor, which is probably high-revving in nature. The new motorcycle could be placed between the CB500F and CB650R in the company’s line-up at the time of sale. More details are expected in the coming months, but it is still unclear whether Honda decides to introduce the next generation Hornet in India. Once launched, the new Honda Hornet will go up against the Yamaha MT-07 in the international markets.
