The Volkswagen Taigun First Anniversary Edition is available in a new ‘Rising Blue’ color option along with the existing Curcuma Yellow and Wild Cherry Red. The Taigun First Anniversary Edition 1.0 TSI is offered on the dynamic line, topline variant available on the MT and AT. Featuring ‘1st Anniversary’ badging on the exterior and interior. It gets 11 new elements like body colored door garnish, high lux fog lamps, black sea pillar graphics, black ORVM cap, door-edge protector, black roof foil, window visors and aluminum pedals.
Powered by TSI technology, the Volkswagen Taigun is available in two engine options – a 1.0L TSI and a 1.5L TSI EVO. The 1.0-litre TSI engine produces 115 PS @ 5,000-5,500 rpm and peak torque of 178 Nm @ 1,750-4,500 rpm. Transmission options include 6-speed manual and 6-speed AT options.
While the 1.5-litre TSI EVO engine generates power of 150 PS @ 5,000-6.000 rpm and torque of 250 Nm @ 1,600-3,500 rpm. A 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG transmission options are on offer. This engine also gets Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) and Idle Start/Stop Technology.
