New world record ‘baked’ at BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Sydney

BAPS Swaminarayan Temple has made it to the Australian record by baking the world’s largest eggless cake.

US High Commissioner to India, Barry O’Farrell AO, shared the news on Twitter and wrote, “In a world first, #Sydney’s BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir makes it to the Australian Book of Records by baking the world’s largest eggless cake ! The cake prepared by over 60 volunteers is 2.4 meters high and 3 meters wide.”

The award was presented to BAPS Swaminarayan TempleSydney, Australia on October 26, 2022.

The cake has been designed in the shape of a traditional Hindu temple and was 2.4 meters high and 3 meters wide and weighed 1023.44 kg and was performed as a part of the Annakoot Puja, in which people offer various offerings to the god. Let’s offer dishes. First day of Hindu New Year.

The huge cake was prepared in 4300 hours by more than 60 volunteers of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir.
