new year 2023Lucknow Police on Friday (December 30) issued guidelines in view of the celebration of New Year 2023 to avoid any untoward incident in the city. According to the detailed advisory issued by the Joint Commissioner of Lucknow Police, PRV, Polygon, Pink Scooty and Pink Panther departments of Lucknow Police will remain in the entire city till 2:00 am.

Around 7,900 police personnel will be deployed across the city to prevent any mishap. Drone cameras and ITMS will also be used to keep an eye on sensitive and congested areas of all zones of the city. Along with this, police personnel will be deployed at more than 100 places in the city to keep an eye on the drunken drivers and arrest the criminals.

Drunk driving:

Apart from this, strict action will be taken against people drinking alcohol in public places. Police said that from the evening of December 31, 16 companies of the Territorial Armed Constabulary (PAC) would also be deployed in the city. Police said that special arrangements have been made for Shikhar Bhavan located in Vibhuti Khand police station area. There are 17 bars in the building.

The police said that the number of people in each bar would have to be displayed outside the bar. People will not be allowed to enter the building in excess of the capacity and the security arrangements inside the building will be done by the officials of Summit Building and they will themselves.

Apart from the Summit building, all the bars in Lucknow Commissionerate have been asked by the police to display the capacity of the bar and how many people have entered it. Lucknow police said in a statement that the entire process would be monitored by the police and strict action would be taken against the management if any bar allowed more people than its official capacity.

Uttar Pradesh Police Guidelines:

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Police has also issued instructions to all security personnel and deployed adequate number of patrolling vehicles at crowded places to prevent any law and order situation in the state.

“To celebrate the New Year in a peaceful manner, we have issued state-wise instructions to all police personnel. We have directed the officers to ensure that there is no ruckus in the state, especially in malls, market places, clubs and bars. Don’t be.” Additional director general of police (ADGP), law and order, said Prashant Kumar.

“We have deployed police force in both uniform and plainclothes in adequate numbers at these places. Besides, police teams will be placed at every major intersection with breath analyzers to check cases of drunken driving,” he added. “

The official said the security personnel would ensure that there is no harassment of women and children during these celebrations and for this “we have deployed UP-112 patrolling vehicles with women officers.”

Senior officers of the state police force will start patrolling the streets from Saturday evening itself. Kumar said security has also been beefed up at religious places where crowds of people are seen during such events. He also appealed to the people to follow the traffic advisory issued by the police.

The ADGP said, “Police will provide alternative parking facilities. We have also identified spots where youths often indulge in stunt riding. We have installed zigzag barriers at these points to prevent such stunts and save precious lives.” Huh.”
