NID DAT 2022 Mains will be conducted in Hybrid Mode

National Institute of Design (NID) has planned to conduct the NID DAT 2022 main exam in a hybrid format. This format will be used for admission to both Bachelor in Design (BDes) and Master in Design (MDes) courses.

Issuing an official notification, NID has mentioned that the DAT Mains for the entry period 2022-23 will be conducted in hybrid mode due to the coronavirus situation and the “uncertainties” arising out of it.

“Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country and the uncertainties arising out of it, the DAT Mains for the admission cycle 2022-23 will be conducted in hybrid mode,” the NID statement said.

NID 2022 Exam: Know All About It

The exam is to be held in the third week of June. National Institute of Design will publish the NID DAT 2022 preliminary result in the last week of April on its official website, entries.nid.edu. Only those students who are successful in the preliminary examination will be called for the main examination.

Candidates shortlisted for DAT Mains will have to appear in DAT Mains Exam (Studio Test). The studio test will take place in several cities across the country. Moreover, the NID DAT Main Exam Center information will be published soon on the NID Admission website.

The DAT main exam will consist of a studio test as well as an interview. The studio exams will be conducted offline at individual NID campuses, while the interviews will be conducted online.

The candidates, who are shortlisted for DAT Mains, will be required to upload the details of purpose (SOP) and portfolio during the specified time on their registered email address or on the result website. Separate SOPs and Portfolio should be uploaded for each subject for which you have been selected. It is to be noted that the Statement of Objectives (SOP) should not exceed 100 words (for each question).
