Nine out of top-10 most valuable mcaps declined by ₹1.22 lakh crore last week

Nine of the top-10 most valuable firms suffered a combined decline 1,22,092.9 crore in market valuation last week amid a weak trend in equities, Reliance Industries emerged as the biggest laggard.

Last week, the 30-share BSE benchmark fell 843.86 points or 1.36%.

Barring HDFC Bank, nine companies including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, ICICI Bank and Hindustan Unilever saw a decline in market valuation.

Reliance Industries valuation dropped 29,767.66 crores from 17,35,405.81 crores.

TCS faced a downfall 19,960.12 crores from 11,84,837.43 crore in its market valuation.

ICICI Bank’s valuation fell 19,722.3 crore from 6,29,380.54 crore and Infosys fell 19,567.57 crore from 6,40,617.19 crores.

Hindustan Unilever’s market capitalization (mcap) declined 11,935.92 crore from 6,27,434.85 crore and State Bank of India declined by Rs. 11,735.86 crore from 5,38,421.83 crores.

mcap of bharti airtel dropped 7,204.38 crore from 4,57,325.46 crore and Adani Enterprises fell 1,903.8 crores from 4,53,617.85 crores.

hdfc mcap down 295.29 crores from 4,86,460.48 crores.

However, HDFC Bank added 4,126.18 crore taking its valuation 9,13,726.29 crores.

Reliance Industries remained the most valued domestic firm followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, State Bank of India, HDFC, Bharti Airtel and Adani Enterprises. PTI Yoga HVA
