Nishumbita’s theater festival ‘Notsav’ to begin on December 18

Ram Mohan Holagundi directs seven plays spanning diverse subjects and also acts on stage after a decade

The 6th edition of Hyderabad-based Nishumbita Ballet and Theater Group ‘Naotsav’, a seven-day theater festival beginning on December 18, is unique in many ways. Based on diverse themes, the plays directed by Ram Mohan Hollagundi have the same team of over 45 actors playing different roles in all the plays. Also, Ram Mohan, the founder of Nishumbita, returns to acting on stage after a decade.

Natotsav is an annual offering from the 27-year-old theater group since 2015. “We like to end the year on a high note so that this enthusiasm and energy carry over to the new year and the group continues to highlight social issues,” says Ram, who has directed all the plays this year.
