Nissan today revealed the Aria Single Seater Concept which is a high-performance exploration, development and demonstration project on how the all-electric Nissan Aria road car powertrain can be used in a bespoke single seater racing car chassis. The concept was presented at the Nissan Futures event by Juan Manuel Hoyos, Nissan’s Senior Vice President of Global Design, and Nissan Global Marketing Divisional General Manager for Brand and Engagement.

The single seater Ariya takes design cues from the all-electric SUV. The front of the vehicle is electrified and illuminated “V” motion, familiar to Nissan’s current road car design language. In the side view, the Aria’s fluid and efficient surfaces are inspired by, sculpted to the max in carbon fiber. Overall, the Nissan Aria single seater concept describes a look that, as with the Aria, looks like it was shaped by the wind.
