No change in US policy on Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem, says spokesperson – Times of India

JERUSALEM: National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters on Wednesday that the United States wishes to have a Palestinian consulate in East Jerusalem, White House spokesman John Kirby said.
Kirby said there was no change in US policy regarding the consulate.
The United States is looking to reopen its consulate for Palestinians in Jerusalem, located west of the city, which was closed by former US President Donald Trump in 2019.
