Paratha is probably one of the most popular flatbreads to indulge at any point of time. One can certainly experiment with the paratha filling, as internet users come up with chocolate and even Paneer Paratha, recently, we came across another interesting variation on the traditional paratha recipe. It is called Pizza Paratha, and no, it is not another bizarre food combination, but actually quite a delicious dish.

As you can guess, the ingredients used to make Pizza Paratha are the same for both the recipes. Thus, all you need for the paratha dough is wheat flour, water, a little oil. For pizza toppings, you will need pizza sauce, cheese, chopped vegetables like onions, bell peppers, capsicum, oregano and chili flakes.

How to make Pizza Paratha | Easy Pizza Paratha Recipe

Pizza Paratha is one of the easiest recipe. It is so easy that even a novice can make it. The recipe for Pizza Paratha was shared by popular YouTuber Ananya Banerjee on her handle. Here are the basic steps for preparing the dish.

  • For paratha, knead soft but firm dough by mixing flour, water and a little oil. Add salt if needed. Let the dough rest.
  • Take a big portion of pizza dough and flatten it slightly. With the help of a rolling pin, roll out a paratha of uniform thickness and the size of your non-stick tava.
  • Heat a tawa and cook the paratha on one side for about a minute. Flip it over and spread pizza sauce over it.
  • Add other ingredients like capsicum, onion, capsicum and tomato on top of it. You can also add baby corn, salami slices or pepperoni to it.
  • Sprinkle oregano and chilli flakes and cover the pizza paratha with a lid. Make the flame high so that steam can come in the paratha. Let the cheese melt, slice it and serve hot!
