Amid incidents of violence and loudspeaker controversy in other states, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that no religious or other procession can be taken out without prior permission.

The UP CM on Monday evening held a high-level meeting with police officials through video-conferencing on the law and order situation in the state. During the meeting, he directed the police to allow only traditional religious processions and refrain from allowing new events.

Adityanath said at the meeting: “Recently, many religious festivals have been celebrated. It is good to know that there is an atmosphere of peace and harmony in the state. There are many important religious festivals in the coming days. Eid and Akshaya Tritiya festival likely to be on the same day [May 3], In such a situation, given the current environment, the police will have to be extra sensitive.

The UP CM has also ordered that in the next 24 hours, officers from the level of Station House Officer to Additional Director General should establish dialogue with religious leaders and eminent people in their areas. Instructions have also been given to ensure religious programs at designated places and not to block roads or obstruct traffic.

The CM said, ‘Those who are trying to spoil the atmosphere with the chaotic elements of the society, they should be dealt with strictly. There should be no place for such people in a civilized society.”

CM has also said that anyone has the freedom to follow his method of worship. Microphone can be used at religious places, but it should be ensured that no sound of that premises. At the same time, the CM has instructed the police not to allow microphones to be installed at new places.

UP CM vacation canceled He has directed all the police officers from the level of police commissioner to police station chief till May 4 to return to their place of posting within the next 24 hours to the officers who are on leave till May 4.

Adityanath has also said that tehsildars, sub-divisional magistrates, SHOs etc should take rest at night in the area of ​​their posting, even if they are required to rent accommodation for the same.
