New Delhi: With an aim to create a tech-enabled sales force, National Skill Development Corporation international (NSDCI), a subsidiary of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Acuvisor Insurance Brokers (India), have collaborated to skill India’s youth by training them to become Point of Sale Persons (POSPs) through Acuvisor’s mobile application. announced.
Ecuvisor and NSDCI will work towards creating a skilling ecosystem, which will benefit 1 lakh youth across the country. NSDCI will leverage the application to train, certify and effectively employ youth of India in Tier-II and Tier-III cities as well as rural areas.
Equivisor’s partnership with NSDCI aims to provide the youth of India a Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAIAccredited certification, which enables them to access livelihood opportunities while increasing insurance penetration in India’s most uninsured markets. In addition, the partnership will also provide an opportunity to trained individuals to start their own venture and embark on an entrepreneurial journey in the insurance sector.
Acuvisor mobile application aims to create well trained PoSPs, who will be allowed to sell only specially designed insurance products. Introduced in 2016 by IRDAI, POSPs are like insurance agents, requiring minimum class X education and 15 hours of training.
