NTPC Q3 net profit up nearly 5%

State-run NTPC on Saturday reported a 4.9% rise in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December. 4,854.36 crores. During the same quarter of the previous financial year (FY22), the company had registered a net profit of Rs. 4,626.11 crores.

Its revenue from operations increased by 34% 44,601.84 crore during the period under review 33,292.61 crore in Q3 of FY22.

country’s largest power generatorNTPC Limited, with the current group installed capacity of 71544 MW, declared the unaudited financial results for Q3/IX FY23 on 28 January 2023.

NTPC Group generated 295 Billion Units in the first nine months of FY23, as compared to 265 Billion Units in 9M FY22, a growth of 11%. NTPC’s standalone gross generation in 9M FY23 stands at 255 Billion Units as against 227 Billion Units in the previous period, registering a growth of 12%.

NTPC Coal stations achieved a plant load factor of 74.45% during 9M FY23 against the national average of 63.27%.

The total income of NTPC during April-December on standalone basis is 124,685.49 crore against the total income of the same period 89,314.50 crore, registering a growth of 39.60%.

On a consolidated basis, the group’s total income for the nine months of FY23 was 133,231.43 crore as against total income of the previous period 97,269.89 crore, registering a growth of 36.97%.

The Board of Directors has approved Interim Dividend at 42.50% of the paid-up share capital for FY23 4.25 per equity share of face value 10 each.
