senior congress leader Shashi Tharoor On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi likened the Omicron version of Covid to ‘O Mitron’, a phrase PM Modi uses to greet people whenever he addresses public gatherings. Tharoor also accused the prime minister of polarizing and weakening democracy.
Taking to Twitter, Shashi Tharoor wrote, “There is something more dangerous than #Omicron” Hey friends! We are measuring the latter every day in increasing polarization, promoting hatred and bigotry, fraudulent attacks on the Constitution and weakening Our democracy. There is no “mild version” of this virus.
Replying to Shashi Tharoor, BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawalla while talking to an English news channel said that Tharoor’s remarks were an attempt to throw light on the dire COVID situation.
