Officer: 9 injured in shooting at club in South Carolina – Times of India

Hampton: Officials South Carolina They said they were investigating a shooting at a club in Hampton County early Sunday that injured at least nine people. This was the second mass shooting in the state in as many days.
The State Law Enforcement Division said in an email that no one was reported killed in the Easter morning shooting at the club in Hampton County. There was no immediate information available on the severity of the injuries.
SLED says it was asked by the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office to investigate. Hampton County is approximately 80 miles (about 129 kilometers) west of Charleston.
The shooting comes a day after a shooting at a busy mall in the state capital Colombia. Colombian Police Chief WH “Skip” Holbrook said in a news release Saturday that nine people were shot and five were injured while trying to flee the scene at Columbiana Center. The age of the victims was between 15 and 73 years.
Colombia Police Department Announced the arrest of 22-year-old Jeven M Price, one of three people initially detained by law enforcement as having an interest in the mall shooting. Price is scheduled to have a bond hearing at 2 p.m. Sunday on charges of illegally carrying a pistol. It is not immediately known whether Price has an attorney who can speak on his behalf.
Police said the 73-year-old victim was undergoing treatment, but other victims have been discharged from local hospitals or will be released soon.
“We don’t believe it was random,” Holbrook said. “We assume they knew each other and that something led to the bullets.”
