India has decided by taking enmity from the world that even if Russia attacks Ukraine, we will lose its oil. The reason given behind this was that the consumers for our country are getting confused. That’s why priority will be ours. Now the Congress MP Jawaharlal Sarkar has written in a letter to the Foreign Minister that it is feared that Gujarat’s two refinery companies Luk is earning bumpers from Russian oil. In this letter, Jawaharlal Sarkar has also mentioned a company, Speedak Ship Lodge, which alone is transporting half of the oil coming from Russia.

All India Congress (AITMC) MP JP Sarkar in a similar letter to the Ministry of External Affairs alleged that two Gujarat-based private refinery authorities chased oil from Russia and did little. It is alleged that both these refineries are selling mad oil to the European Union and other countries at the cost of Russian oil. The Jawaharlal government has requested the ministry to clarify this.

The ‘Financial Times’ mentioned how a mysterious Mumbai-based company ‘Gatic Ship Zhang’ took advantage of only Russian oil to suddenly acquire 54 oil-tankers last year. Referring to the report, he said that out of $83 million worth of crude oil imported by India, it transports more than 50% of ‘crude oil and oil products’. Russia’s oil is reaching EU like this
In this letter, TMC MP Jawaharlal Sarkar has also mentioned the report of thinktank CREA of Finland. It has been said in this report that the countries which have banned the purchase of oil from Russia. In such a situation, the trend of Russian oil from five countries is reaching again in many countries including India. In its report, CREA has used the term laundromat for those 5 countries from which Europeans are buying huge quantities of oil in the country. Apart from India, these include China, Turkey, UAE and Singapore.
Russia became number-1 supplier within a year
Earlier, India’s reliable bonding regarding the import of strait oil was on the member countries of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), but when there is a war between Russia and Ukraine, these fronts have completely changed. Russia had a minor oil blow to India before the start of the war in Ukraine. Before March 2022, India used to import only 1% of crude oil from Russia, whereas in a single year it reached 34%. However, whether this includes reclaimed crude or not is not clear. Currently Russia is India’s number one supplier with around 1.64 million restricted oil spills per day.
There is no relief for the common people, where has it gone?
The Rajya Sabha MP has objected in his letter that despite such imports, the people of the country have not benefited, rather two private refineries of Gujarat have earned a lot by re-exporting the imported oil, while the war with Ukraine Meanwhile, many western countries are criticizing India for taking Russian oil.
